Pikko is a free polling and scheduling tool. We try to collect as little as possible, never sell your data, and never run ads. This page explains what we store and why.
What we collect
- Poll content — the title, description, options, votes, and comments people add to a poll.
- Voter names — voting needs only a display name, not an account. That name is shown with the vote on the poll.
- Organizer accounts (optional) — if you sign up, your email and a hashed password (never stored in plain text).
- Slack — if you add Pikko to a Slack workspace, we store the workspace id and a bot token (encrypted at rest) so the app can post and update polls. Removing the app deletes this.
- Basic technical data — standard request/usage logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
Only to run the service: create and display polls, count votes, send the few transactional emails you ask for (verification, password reset, account changes), and keep the app secure. We don't use your data for advertising and we don't sell it.
Service providers
We rely on a few processors to operate Pikko: Vercel (hosting), Neon (PostgreSQL database), Resend (transactional email), and Slack (only when you use the Slack app). Each processes data on our behalf to provide the service.
Retention
Polls created without an account are deleted automatically after 3 days. Polls created while signed in are kept until you delete them or your account. You can delete any poll, or your whole account, from your dashboard at any time. Slack install data is removed when the app is uninstalled from a workspace.
Your choices
Delete individual polls or your entire account (with or without its polls) from the dashboard. Change or reset your password and change your email from account settings.
